Michael "Chipper" V. Mautz, Jr.

Michael V. (Chipper) Mautz, Jr., of West Monroe, NY, passed away June 17, 2026, surrounded by his family. Michael was born on April 15, 1946, and graduated from East Syracuse Minoa High School. Michael retired from Carrier after 37 years. Michael enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. He planted a huge garden and would give away vegetables. He was a member of the McCavanaugh Pond Club for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Linda, of 52 years; children Kelly and Scott (Jeremy), sister Sandra (Alex) Oristion of Greenville, GA, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Michael was predeceased by his parents Michael, Sr., and Alice Mautz and brother Gilbert Mautz.

There will be no services, but a celebration of life will be held in August.
