Louis Alfred Rattina III

It is with heavy hearts as we share the unexpected passing of Louis Alfred Rattina III on June 19, 2026. He was born on January 26, 1970, in Morristown, New Jersey, at Morristown Memorial Hospital.

He had a love for sports that everyone knew about. He was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, so much so that he had a tattoo of their logo on his leg. He also loved the Philadelphia Phillies and the New Jersey Devils. Whether he was watching a game, talking about his favorite teams, or cheering them on, sports brought him joy and connection with others around him.

He was also an avid bowler and was proud to be part of the 300 club. Bowling was a special part of his life. He worked at a bowling alley and later worked as a lathe operator for his uncle’s company.

He loved all genres of music, especially 80s hair bands like Mötley Crüe and KISS. He loved the Rocky movies, and his favorite show was The Sopranos. These were the things that showed his personality and made him who he was.

He always had a way of making everyone around him laugh. His smile lit up the room. His humor and personality will be remembered by those who knew and loved him.

He also had a soft spot for children. He especially loved the children of his first cousin Arthur Cornine. They brought him so much joy and were a special part of his life. He always wanted to be a grandparent himself but treated those children as his own.

He was preceded in death by his parents Louis A. Rattina Jr. age 71, and Diane P. Rattina, age 73. He is survived by his two children, Amber Rattina, age 35, and Anthony Rattina, age 33. He is also survived by his first cousin Arthur Cornine, age 55, Arthur’s wife Elizabeth Cornine, age 45, their children Haley Cornine, age 20, Arthur Cornine, age 17, Gracelynn Cornine, age 13, Shane Cornine, age 7, Easton Cornine, age 4, and Asher Cornine, age 2, along with other extended family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

Although his passing came far too soon, his memory will live on through the people who loved him, the stories they share, and the laughter they will continue to remember.

A memorial celebrating the life of Louis Alfred Rattina III will take place on July 11, 2026, at Reimagine Church, 1415 Sunset Avenue Utica, New York, 13502.
