Linda Ann (Cross) Hill

Our Beloved Mother, Linda Ann (Cross) Hill, passed away peacefully on Friday January 30, 2026, at the age of 78. 

Born on January 20, 1948 in Queens County, she lived between there and Syosset, New York for 23yrs. She later resided for 12yrs in Naugatuck, CT, and then spent her remaining years in Fabius, NY where she was a Fabius-Pompey bus driver for about 30yrs - loving each child that rode along with her. 

In her youth she was in the Girl Scouts and volunteered in Long Island area hospitals. She loved garden and go to "tag" or "garage" sales to find antiques. She was a member of Theatre a la Carte, a founding member of Appleseed Productions, acting and won awards for various roles.

She Loved the History of this country, even participating in Living History events of the early 1800's. Even more so, she absolutely loved the Lord being a devout Christian and enjoyed the churches she belonged to over the years. 

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Linda is survived by her brother, Gene (Becky), and her sisters, Debbie (Dave) and Laurel (Todd). She was the proud mother of five children. Her daughters, Tammy (Michael) and Jennifer (Scott) from her first marriage, Heather, along with her stepchildren, Stacie and Fred (Barb) from her second marriage. She was a loving grandmother to 11 Grandchildren, Katie, Madison, Hunter, Andaria, Eddie, Gracie, Falcon, Krystal, Jessica, Zachary and Morgan. She was a great grandmother to Spencer, Mara, and Kaylynn. She was a loving aunt to Noah, Kimmy, Kristen, Jordan, Shannon, and Jacqueline. 

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Katherine Daragan and Gene Cross. Linda's legacy of kindness, generosity and love will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. 

A Celebration of Life will be planned in the Spring or Summer.
