Brian D. Malcott

   Brian D. Malcott, 70, of the Sterling, NY area passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Upstate University Hospital after a tragic accidental fall the day before.  A very humble guy, “BooBoo” was known for his talented abilities of fixing or replacing anything and everything. “PuttPutt” was always ready for the next “fix it”, bowling, golf or any excursion and a good time.

Brian was predeceased by his father, Donald W. in 1999; his mother, Shirley A. Searing in 2002; his brothers, Craig in 2015, Peter in 2023 and Douglas in 2006.

   Brian leaves his wife and soulmate, Christine "Tina"; two daughters, Erica (Robert) Williams and Tanya Burnside; three grandchildren, Dante, Trevor and Westley; step daughter, Kristi Petronelli; four sisters, Donna Malcott, Sue (Jim) Geers, Robin (Ken) Houghtaling and Holly Malcott; four brothers, Jeff “Jake” (Cindy), Chris; Scott (Lisa) and Les Malcott; one uncle, Roger Malcott; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

   A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Brian will eternally rest (until we meet again) with his heaven family in Sterling Center Cemetery.
