Barbara J. (Stirpe) VanWie

Barbara J. VanWie, 71, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 28, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Barbara was born in Syracuse, NY on April 25, 1954. She was a loving mother of two, a grandmother to 9, and a great grandmother to four.

She is survived by her two children; Karene Van Wie and Daniel (Jill) VanWie, her sisters; Joanne (Bill) Arkerson and Anna Marie Widowski, her brothers; Frank (Debbie) Stirpe and Mike (Pattie) Stirpe, her companion of 39yrs; Victor Siler, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Frank and Jean Stirpe, Barbara was predeceased by her husband; Daniel VanWie as well as her sister, Cheryl Koehler
