Arthur Austin Boccaccio of Liverpool, NY passed away at his home on January 28, 2015 at the age of 59. He graduated cum laude with a B. A. in English from SUNY, Cortland College and received his law degree from Syracuse University. He was employed by Virtucon Group as a copyrighter. Prior to that, he taught English in China for two years.
He was active in his church, St. Joseph the Worker in Liverpool for more than 20 years, serving as a communicant, catechist, lector, and Eucharistic minister. He was an avid writer with a large following from around the world who enjoyed his Elf Academy Series. He also volunteered as a brailler of textbooks for visually impaired individuals.
Arthur is survived by his brother, Robert (Sally) from Inverness, IL, Anthony and Mark from Spokane, Washington and Matthew from Brooklyn, NY, an uncle, Donald Barton (Marilyn) from Deerfield Beach, FL and cousin, Diane Hernandez, from Brewster, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday February 5, 2015 at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Tulip St., Liverpool, NY.
