Anthony Cresson "Tony" Mandarino

Anthony "Tony" Cresson Mandarino, 78 of Manlius passed away peacefully on March 8th, 2019. after a diagnosis of stage 4 cancer on February 6th,2019. Anthony grew up on the northside of Syracuse on Burnett Ave, He attended North High and graduated in 1959. He met Joyce Tanner not long after and were married on New Years Eve 1962. Tony worked a few different jobs through his life but his time working at Carrier corporation and Canastota school district were his most memorable. Tony loved going up to Lake Ontario and sit by the water and have picnics with his family especially at Rudy's Lakeside-haddock, scallops and fries. Tony also loved going to garage sales, he could find the neatest things not just for him but for everyone in the family.He loved Syracuse sports and highly respected Jim Boehiem for his dedication/ professionalism to the Orange, with Jim Brown as his favorite player ever and he made him a lifetime Cleveland Browns fan. The Yankees were his baseball team, Mantle,Ruth, Berra, Jackson, Mattingly, Jeter and his newest Aaron Judge. He loved sports and enjoyed watching with his grandson Ryan.  
    Anthony is predeceased by his Father- Frank, Mother- Marjorie, Brothers- Dominick and Frank- they are all together once more.
    Anthony is survived by his wife of 56 years the former Joyce Tanner,His Children- Anthony, Kathleen (Dan) Gilman, John, MaryAnne(Darin) Harp and Peter(Angela). His grandchildren, great grand kids, along with several nieces and nephews. He was loved and he loved his family very much, even though it was hard for him to express himself.
