BettyJo Hufnagle, 94, passed away peacefully at her home in North Syracuse on Sunday, October 15, 2017.  She was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and lived in Syracuse since 1945.
BettyJo was predeceased by her husbands Norbert Muhl and Robert Hufnagle; daughter, Judith Duke; 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors are son John Muhl (Nikki) of California; daughters Anita Simmons of N. Syracuse; Kathy Hiller (Rick) of Cazenovia; and Mary Therese Bailey (Paul) of E. Syracuse; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
BettyJo was a member of Life Church and Greater Victory Fellowship in the summer. She will be remembered as a loving vibrant person who cherished times with her family, friends, summers at Greene Point on Sandy Pond for 58 years, playing cards and Bridge, singing with friends or solo at events, and traveling. Memorial service Saturday Oct 28 at 11am in Life Church, 7125 Collamer Rd. , East Syracuse

Dear Anita and family, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. I was fortunate to meet BettyJo and get to know her a little bit. Her smile lit up the room and she was as lovely inside as outside.There are no words but my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Anita, John, Mary Terese and Kathy. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you family at this time with the loss of your Mother. She was a remarkable women! She loved life and she loved Jesus. The 15+years that I knew Betty Jo was a pleasure. We spent the summers at Sandy Pond as neighbors and I so enjoyed playing games and cards with here and other friends at Sandy Pond. She will be missed. Cherish the memories!!
