Just wanted to share....to those of us who loved Aunt Gail

I came across this poem today and as I read it I felt it was written about her... the lady who could light up a room with her presence, who loved her family above no other, and who ALWAYS had my back (and Patti's and Michael's and Barb's). She rests now in peace with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Joe - watching over all of us.

Dedicated To My Aunt Gail

Life is too short,
It's not enough,
but we must understand,
That if we live it in love and faith,
a road will be made,
For the day we pass away,
We can take it,
and wait at the end,
for those who once and always loved me,
I will meet.

Your beautiful eyes,
so big and round,
showed love,
showed laughter,
showed happiness,
showed sadness,
but we will remember you as the happy beautiful women you were,
The one who once cried for love,
The one who once laughed,
I love you my dear,
we will miss you,
but please wait,
we will meet once again,
In the kingdom of heaven,
where no pain we will feel.

I couldn't say it any better than my sister Debbie did. Aunt Gail never gave up on family. It was her life's blood. She had a lot of energy packed into that tiny body and did light up the room when she came in. Life was not always easy for Aunt Gail but she persisted. She will be missed by so many friends and family. I will miss our Friday phone calls most of all. It is not the same without hearing her voice. She was not alone in her last days and we were honored to be by her side as she crossed to the other side. She is at peace.
